Christmas has come around once more. It is a season of great rejoicing for it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. However, if we are to make the occasion complete, it must be a season of self-reflection and meditation also. We must remember the cause for which Jesus was born and for which He sacrificed His life, and remembering it, we must live by it ourselves for if we love Him, we must follow His Commandments. The Saint Maron Maronite Catholic Church Annual Festival provides an opportunity for families to come together and celebrate the beautiful aspects of Lebanese, Syrian and American culture together in one place. The Festival is held on our beautiful 26 acre location in Independence, Ohio.
This much loved event draws people from miles around to enjoy the best of our music, cuisine, and culture.
Traditional Lebanese music, popular American music, along with performances by our teen folk dance groups provide for a unique event that showcases a wide range of talents and entertainment styles. Traditional Lebanese and Syrian family recipes are prepared by our own parishioners and served with the hospitality that is a trademark of our community.
Throughout the festival, children’s activities make our event one the whole family can enjoy.
Please join us for a day your whole family will enjoy!

Dear Parishioners,
We look forward to seeing you at the Church for our Christmas Liturgies:
As you all know this year we have to be extra cautious and help to prevent the spread of Covid-19
Your cooperation in this matter means a lot to us and to the community.
Here are some essential safety tips we recommend all of you follow:
- Face masks are required upon entry and during the whole liturgy until you leave (please don’t put us in an embarrassing situation by refusing to wear a mask).
- We will be having a lot of hand sanitizers all around the church. We recommend using them once you enter the church and again before communion.
- Please check your temperature before coming to the church and if you have any symptoms (cough, runny nose, etc.) stay at home and watch the live stream on Facebook (a scheduled private communion is available for all those who cannot attend).
- If you have a weak immunity system or serious illness please know that you are not obliged to attend in person and we can provide you a private communion soon (just give us a call at the office).
- The church will be sanitized after each liturgy.
- Please avoid socializing and small gatherings at the church before and after the liturgies. We know that everybody wants to wish a Merry Christmas to each other but it’s not the right moment to do it! We ask everybody to leave directly after the final blessing.
- Communion will be by hand only. If you would like to receive communion on your tongue, this will be done only after the liturgy has concluded.
- Please don’t come to the sacristy (where the priests and sub-deacons go before and after liturgy).
We appreciate your understanding and your cooperation!
May God bless you all!
Merry and safe Christmas!
