The Arabic Program at Saint Maron is a great supplement to preserving the traditions that we all love and want to instill in our children. We started over twenty years ago with the blessing of Monseigneur Khachan, and we are continuing with the great support of Father Peter.
We offer three beginners classes: One for children between 3 and 7 years of age, one for young adults and one beginners class for adults. We also offer one advanced class for young adults. We also offer Arabic computer instructions using a program for little children and another advanced program for conversation teaching. To keep our traditions alive and well we also offer Dabké lessons for all students.
The children Program is headed by Mrs Lidya Nahra. The young adults program is administered by Mrs. Juliette Saab. Mrs. Madeleine Zammar teaches the adult Classes and Mrs. Rima Kawkabani runs the young adult advanced program.
Ms Diana Naoum teaches the Dabké, sessions that all kids look forward to. Mrs Claire Naoum lends a much needed helping hand in Dabké and in all administrative matter.
Classes are held every Saturday starting in fall quarter until the beginning of May, from 10:00 AM to noon in the church’s administration building.
We would like to acknowledge the dedication of the parents who bring their kids every Saturday to the Arabic program.
